Cierto Tequila is an authentic, ultra-premium tequila meticulously handcrafted from the finest agave in all of Mexico. Cierto means “true” in Spanish—a perfect word to describe this incredibly smooth tasting tequila.
While many brands of tequila use small, immature agave, high-pressure diffusers, and additives such as glycerin, fake colors, and artificial flavors, Cierto takes an authentic approach towards the time-honored craft of distilling.
Out of respect for the product and those who enjoy it, Cierto only uses healthy, fully mature agave that’s been hand-selected by fourth and fifth-generation master distillers. They cook the agave slowly and carefully without any artificial additives—making Cierto a 100% pure, natural, true tequila.
The Cierto Private Collection embodies four rare and distinct agave expressions distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Even a sip of Cierto carries enough flavor to reveal why tequila experts around the globe call Cierto the “World’s Finest Tequila.”
Edition first met the founder of Cierto Tequila back in 2018. And when a bond forms around tequila, that bond is never to be broken. Edition’s task was to create an entirely new tequila brand from the ground up. Since the master distillers in charge of crafting Cierto descended from fourth and fifth-generation agaveros, we knew the quality of the tequila would speak for itself. After all, the families of these agaveros have cultivated agave since the 1800s and, through time, have become some of the largest agave growers in the world.
Our challenge focused on creating a brand that embodied the spirit of the truest and purest tequila on the market today. We started with bottle design. To capture the pure and natural quality of the tequila, we needed a fully custom bottle that allowed its beauty to shine through and shimmer from across the room. After nearly a hundred 3D prototypes, we crafted a design like no other to display a tequila like no other. Handcrafted in France, the bottle itself acts as a piece of art or, as we like to think of it, a frame to highlight the beauty of the liquid art contained inside. A masterpiece tequila deserves no less.
In 2019, Cierto Tequila soft-launched for taste-testing across the globe. And within less than a year from its debut, Cierto won an unprecedented 80 medals and awards (see here)—more than any other spirit company during their first year. Coincidence? No. It was by design.
