/ JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Junior Designer (Contract) at Edition Studios, you will support the design team in developing thoughtful, brand-aligned creative with a primary focus on ongoing social media content and monthly retainer work, as well as overflow design tasks as needed. This contractor role is ideal for a detail-oriented, curious designer who enjoys production-focused work, values flexibility, and wants to continue building experience within a collaborative, creatively driven agency environment.
You’ll work under the guidance of senior designers and creative leads to execute design tasks efficiently, support established brand systems, and contribute fresh thinking where appropriate. This is a role for a creative who is self-motivated, receptive to feedback, and passionate about design that solves problems and tells compelling stories.
This is a flexible, remote contractor position, with hours determined by ongoing client and retainer needs.
/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Support & Execution
- Design and produce social media graphics and recurring content for client retainers
- Support additional digital and print design needs as requested (e.g. presentations, brand collateral, light campaign assets)
- Prepare, export, and organize production-ready assets for internal review and client delivery
- Execute layout changes, versioning, and file updates accurately and on time
- Ensure all work aligns with brand guidelines, visual systems, and project objectives
Collaboration & Communication
- Participate in virtual creative check-ins, internal reviews, and project briefings as needed
- Take and apply design direction constructively and collaboratively
- Communicate proactively with team members regarding timelines, workload, and task progress
- Maintain organized working files, naming conventions, and version control
Learning & Growth
- Seek and apply feedback from senior designers and creative leads
- Learn from internal creative reviews, processes, and workflows
- Stay up to date with design trends, social media formats, tools, and industry best practices
- Take initiative to improve design skills, efficiency, and technical execution

/ QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of design experience (agency or social media–focused work preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating a strong foundation in typography, layout, and visual design, with emphasis on digital and social content
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Figma preferred
- Ability to manage time independently and meet deadlines in a flexible, contractor environment
- Comfort working remotely and collaborating asynchronously
- Strong attention to detail and a drive to produce high-quality work
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or equivalent experience preferred
